And the remaining Electoral College votes are all pointing toward Romney.

Rasmussen actually oversamples Republicans! But if you want to based your argument on Scott Rasmussen's survey, it currently shows Obama winning  241 electoral college votes whilst Romney is at 191.

Please see - http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/archive/2012_electoral_college_scoreboard
. As I said, the most important part of the US Presidential election is the electoral college and the person who garners 270 wins. If you want to go by Rasmussen Obama only needs 29 electoral college votes to win.

And there you have it, sir!

Shola (Mr)

Mwalimu Bangura,

It's very interesting that you are always quoting Rasmussen Reports, which is a right-leaning research poll just as PPP is left-leaning. Scott Rasmussen himself is the official pollster for Fox News!

By the way, the Real Clear Politics average still have Obama at 231 electoral college votes whilst Romney is at 181. This means Obama only need  39 more electoral college votes in order to be re-elected.

For confirmation, please see - http://realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/president/2012_elections_electoral_college_map.html

In addition, it is notable that Rasmussen calculate that Obama is currently garnering 241 electoral college votes whilst Romney is at 191.

What we have at the moment is that Obama has a clearer path to reelection than Romney to the White House.

Intrade Odds, the folks whose main business is betting on the future have Obama at 56.5% chance of winning and Romney at 41.3%.

By the way, do you actually think that Black folks  will be better off under Romney?

And there you have it! (apology to Prof Bolaji Aluko!)

Mwalimu Ikhide, the Dems can say all they want, but the country radio talk shows across America are cheering Romney for calling things what they are. In fact, Romney today increased his leads over Obama to be the next POTUS and trust on the economy. See both polls below. Romney has also tied Obama in Virginia, leaving Ohio, where Obama is leading by only 2%, as the only swing sate left for Romney to clinch to win The Mother of All Elections if it were held today.

Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday, July 27, 2012

"The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows Mitt Romney attracting 49% of the vote, while President Obama earns support from 44%. Three percent (3%) prefer some other candidate, and four percent (4%) are undecided."

Trust on Issues: Obama v. Romney

49% Trust Romney More On Economy; 43% Trust Obama More

Thursday, July 26, 2012

Voters continue to trust likely Republican nominee Mitt Romney more than President Obama when it comes to the economy and taxes but are more narrowly divided on three other key issues.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely Voters shows that 50% trust Romney more to handle the economy, while 42% trust the president more. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

The survey of 1,000 Likely Voters was conducted on June 11-12, 2012 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Fieldwork for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.

Romneyshambles: Democrats seize on Mitt Romney's gaffes

Democrats have seized upon Mitt Romney's trip abroad - dubbed Romneyshambles - with a new video highlighting criticism from British politicians and the media.

To paraphrase the inimitable Professor Bolaji Aluko, and there you have it! Mitt Romney has been an awful envoy of our great country America. I move that we recall him for further consultations... We are better than this. What say you Professor Bangura? This is awful! Even Dubya was more eloquent and articulate than this!
