Egyptian Army gives Morsi 48 hours
Well, everyone saw this coming, but not everyone thought that the Egyptian military would give the Muslim Brotherhood's godfather such short notice.
Naturally, Israel the good neighbor on the other side of the Sinai peninsular is worried about the peace treaty with Egypt. The Egyptian Army and of course the Muslim Brotherhood Egyptian Branch, may also have some big ideas about the ongoing civil war in Syria. The military can decide about direct involvement on behalf of their Sunni Brothers without actually having to pilot such a decision through parliament or holding a referendum.
Fact also is that the barracks is where the professional military belongs - in a peace time democracy.
In my opinion the spectre of the Nigerian military returning from their barracks back into politics is not yet completely blown away, should the Boko Haram insurgency gain further traction before or after the next Nigerian presidential elections. The rationale is that a government must assert peace and tranquility and the safety of the lives and limbs of its citizens living in its sovereign territory or gradually forfeit the right of being known as an effective government
