Most Nigerians – from the great elite ogas at apex of the national pyramid down to the poor citizens and students who occasionally suffer from electricity outages which they have come to terms with by accepting the sad reality of living with N.E.P.A. which even in my day was already the acronym for Never Expect Power Always - from the North to the South, and from the East to the West of Nigeria, they must all be salivating to hear the latest good news that President Obama is now blessing sub-Sahara Africa by committing seven billion dollars as a zedaqah contribution to the good idea of expecting power always as a necessary amenity in modern day living, even in what used to be known as " the dark continent"
