The UN mission in Somalia (UNSOM) is urgently seeking African experts in federalism, fiscal federalism, wealth-sharing and inter-governmental relations. The experts will provide the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) with technical advice on the development of a federal system of government in Somalia including evolution of fiscal federalism, wealth-sharing and inter-governmental relations. The experts will also facilitate briefings, workshops and seminars on key principles of federalism and inter-governmental relations for senior Somali political leaders and public officials.
Short assignments of between 1-3 weeks are envisaged in the first instance. This assignment may require travel to Mogadishu (AMISOM protected areas). Some events/activities may also take place in Nairobi, Kenya.
