  From the remarkable conference she organised on women and gender in 1992 at the University of Nigeria,Nsukka which drew the likes of Flora Nwapa, till date, she has shown extra-odrinary commitment on the subject.And when she harps on the need to produce more relevant theories from the Africa on the subject she widens the scope of her audience.I guess this cocnern will also reflect on this collection.    Congrats Prof.    Hopefully this effort will find many audience on the African continent where a vast pool of scholars are embracing the discourse on gender and race.
