USA Africa Dialogue Series - THE BRITS ARE FANTASTICALLY CORRUPT - THE WORST POEM EVER WRITTEN

THE BRITS ARE FANTASTICALLY CORRUPT - THE WORST POEM EVER WRITTEN

This is the worst poem that has ever found its way to paper. However, let it be.

If anyone shall modify, tamper with, or in any way finagle with the wordings or the stanzas

He shall be sued to high heavens. The proceeds from such a suit will be saved in the Bank of England, while I stay in Nigeria to wallow in abject poverty. Rest assured that I am making millions for the streets of England to be well paved.

If you shall feel like constructing your own poem, please, please go ahead

Make it rhyme with 'God Save the Queen' or 'Beasts of England'

The Brits are fantastically corrupt

Though not like the ways of old

When they sent brigands like Drake

To plunder and pillage on high seas

In the name of their king and queen

The Brits are immensely corrupt

They lie in wait in banks and crave

Like crocs await their lowly prey

In marshes and swamps, they stay

Beckoning to thieves and brigands

The Brits are tremendously corrupt

From nations in Africa and beyond

Thieves of all stripes and colors

Bring the loot from kith and kin

To pave the roads of old England

But the Brits are actually corrupt

But when you ask for a return

Of what is known to be rightly yours

The Brits with no shame accuse you

Of being the one to put the blame

The Brits are dreadfully corrupt

Everyone is up to their game

They tell a story to their aged queen

Of nations that are more corrupt

While they claim the moral ground

The Brits are shamelessly corrupt

The queen in turn shakes her head

For she knows the truth than most

Her forebears, she knows for sure

Had made England a rich nation

The Brits are enormously corrupt

She knows much the leader knows not

From the sweat of Africans and others

Her forebears had built an empire

On whom the sun will never set

The Brits are ever so corrupt

But like a leopard with all its stripes

Can never its color change

They laugh and ridicule others

For the tricks they taught the thieves
