I know that this must sound like good music to Professor Harrow's musical ears:

There's a lot of power in unpredictability – even in the boxing ring, when the opponent doesn't know whether the knock-out blow is going to come from the left or the right. (But what do I know about the boxing ring, anyway, I've only been in one once – against Akintola Wyse ( "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee" ,but it was a draw, mutual exhaustion) and at the bay, against Abimbola Sylvester Young (another draw)
The Chomsky world-view of course wants to see some predictability as the basis of stability
Who is going to be the next Secretary of State is an open question, with Romney, currently so avidly, yes, very seriously kissing Trump's ass, kissing up to his boss like never before, vying with Trump's right hand man, Rudy Giuliani. Who will it be? If it was all left to me, neither entity - the power of unpredictability. It would be my man John R. Bolton.
Like George W. Bush who took out Saddam, he would probably be kicking ass from Day One.
Encouraged by Trump's most recent overtures to Pakistan's Nawaz Sharif, Al-Fatah's Mahmoud Abbas must be occupying the prayerful position of "wait and see" now fully assured that Trump is ready for business and couldn't possibly be "anti-Muslim" or "Islamophobic". Question is and it's a matter of even-handedness (balance) when is Trump going to sweet-talk India Narendra Modi?
In my sphere of the world, looming problems ahead: Romney doesn't like Russia or Putin, although nowadays you can never tell, since along with kissing up to Mr. President Elect in order to land the job he could have changed his melody (rapidly). A successful stint as Sec of State could stand Romney in good stead to take another shot at being next president of the United States (maybe running against Hillary's much younger sister, Kamala Harris?)
In the meanwhile, more problems: on the Russia front : Last night I nearly jumped out of my colourful skin when I came across this headline: NATO Now in Declared War With Russia! (time to relocate to relative safety, join Brer Soyinka in Naija – far from Boko Haram)
Is this not a provocation? Ukraine has test-fired some missiles around the Russian Crimea (they're not going to get Crimea back – ever) and Putin has told his people that "Russia is not seeking conflict" even if Poroshenko is hell-bent on annihilation…
What we want in Europe: Peace, prosperity and stability...
