Buhari is not a sudden appearance on the Nigerian political scene. He contested the 2003, 2007 and 2011 presidential elections and failed, why?
"Buhari has cult following" is another of the Buhari constructs. Comparing him with Ojukwu and Awolowo is taking cants too far. Anyway, this too will come to pass, after all we also heard same things about Abacha.
A man who would not trust his deputy enough to invite him to a security meeting in which governors from the North are in attendance, because the deputy is from a different region is being celebrated as a leader in a country with diverse citizenry.
I had thought that this country has heard the last of this type of eulogy.
CAO.
