These condemnations are to me not sincere and so should not be relied upon as evidence of Israel's loss of support of these allies. Methinks that those condemnations, usually couched in diplomatese are subterfuges.

Who supplies the weapons, the logistics, the intelligence and the diplomatic backing?

Why haven't the West imposed far reaching sanctions on Israel like they did to Iran?

Why is Russia and China, world powers, who are not U.S and/or the West allies looking the other way?

The Arab League? Why haven't they come out to unequivocally state their stand on this matter?

It could be that the world powers (including Russia and China) and their minions(Arab League and others)prefer "radical Zionism" to radical Islamism in the middle east.

Hamas remains standing after months of some of the fiercest bombardment in history by an opponent aided by some of the the worlds greatest military powers, even as the Palestinian resistance group is limited to largely ineffectual rockets.

Yahal Sinwar, the now legendary head pf Hamas in Gaza, and his top commanders remain alive and are even able to negotiate from hiding as the skies above their enclave burn with incessant flames, the ground scorched and earthquaked, mapped by Palestinian civilians rotting in mass graves.

It would seem that Sinwar and his radical team have at last succeeded, or are on the verge of succeeding, in ensuring the birth of a Palestinian state, at an astronomical cost to the present generation of Palestinians, a price that will reverberate across generations, although it's hard to see how Hamas will not pass into near mythic, if controversial status in Palestinian and Middle East history.

But perhaps these conjectures are premature.

The US, particularly if Trump wins the next elections, might not be able or willing to encourage the formation pf a Palestinian state.

The complexities of such a formation, with particular respect to borders, are likely to remain very challenging , even if all parties, even the combatants,  are well disposed. 

What of the Right of Return for Palestinians displaced since the founding of Israel in 1948? What is to be their fate, given the view that their return would mean the elimination of Israel as a Jewish majority nation?

Sinwar was born in a refugee camp following the 1948 Palestinian displacement. Yasser Arafat, once synonymous with the Palestinian struggle, is long gone, even as what is left of his former PLO, made infamous by such actions as the massacre of Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics, having embraced peace with Israel, are no longer strategic in the Palestinian struggle.

Moshe Dayan, Golda Meir, Menachem Begin...the founding heroes/villains of this great story are gone.
