There's much to ponder and practically act upon with regard to Hillel the Elder's pithy "If I am not for myself, who will be for me? But if I am only for myself, what am I? And if not now, when?"
So, thanks a million also, for some official biographical information which puts you in such good standing and must contribute immensely to the sense of self-esteem in the academy and even greater esteem in the wider community, so that on all occasions after this, I know who I'm talking to, because, the fact is, if you don't blow your own trumpet, then at least someone else will : Jesus himself ( "the only begotten son of God") is reported to have said ( Luke 19: 38 - 40) "I tell you, if these become silent, the stones will cry out!"
Recently, Biko posted on the theme " Empire of AI has Eyes on Me", so , out of curiosity, I wanted to check if AI also has its global eyes on you, and inadvertently found out a lot about the name Okafor
In a similar vein, yesterday, I was curious about what my friend John Chernoff ( rascal) from the good old days in Ghana - and more importantly a very good friend of Fela was saying about Fela being awarded a Lifetime Achievement Grammy, so I googled, and Angelique Kidjo popped out of the whale's belly, with this :

One has to be very careful - I'd say cautious and circumspect with Google and names; a few weeks ago someone asked me if my surname is Hamelberg because I come from South Africa; I told the enquirer, no Sir, my Hamelberg forefathers, Franz and Heinrich came from Austria not from this town in Germany - ( some people with very long ancestral surnames/ genealogies, took the names of nearby towns etc) - however I went on to check why such an absurd question, and just the other day this was dredged up like Jonah, from the whale's belly : H.A.L. Hamelberg
By another brother and friend : Johnny Mbizo Dyani who gave me the name "Themba Feza" ( which means " Hope to complete" - after his trumpeter Mongezi Feza… sadly their producer Keith Knox , has also departed…
The song : Song for Biko
I'm pleased to share the following information with you:Sincerely,Victor O. The yardstick that I use to judge a man [or a woman] is his [ or her] deeds, his [her] behavior, and his [or her] intentions. I have always kept an open mind, which is necessary to the flexibility that must go hand in hand with every form of intelligent search for truth. And, every time you let someone stand on your head and you don't do anything about it, you are not acting with intelligence and should not be on this earth—you won't be on this earth very long either." -- Malcolm X.
