Oluwatoyin Vincent Adepoju,
Your output, so far, and the energy that you put into it, is impressive, I’d say prodigious!
May the Almighty be with you always !
I suppose that (just like “Nigerian Independence”) as an “independent scholar” you may be free/freed from the kinds of constraints, editorial advice, supervision and invariably inquisitions that PhD students have to submit to (thinking of the hassles faced by the likes of Cheikh Anta Diop at the disputation - in defence of his doctoral dissertation), not to mention the postmortems, the fierce & ferocious public academic debates faced by Martin Bernal after the publication of his Black Athena - resulting in the concerted critique of several other experts who gathered to gang up against him, led by one Amazonian called Mary Lefkowitz who finally produced the compendium of total rejection and refutation titled Not Out of Africa
In any case, just like Carlos Castaneda , if you were to embrace the story-telling format ( and not the highbrow Fortes etc, you too could soon be famous….and a commercial successs….
The only other Independent Scholar I know is N Browne-Davies - author of “ The Jews of Sierra Leone”

My research activity exploded in 2003, beginning from my MA at the University of Kent, on account of the then unparalleled freedom and exposure I had to build on my solid BA and MA at the University of Benin as well as on my own independent scholarship outside those academic programs.
Everyday since then has seen me running the race.
What race?
Against whom?
The race to unfold my utmost possibilities as a scholar and writer.
The race is against the limitations of time.
I have come to discover, however, that my preference is for online self publication as different from print publication and working with publishers, priceless as those options are.
I have principally used social media, particularly Facebook ( photo albums, and the USAAfrica Dialogues Series Google group as well as document archives, such as Scribd, with academia.edu being my principal document platform, along with blogs, websites (Rowland Abiodun; Chiaagoziem Orji) and YouTube accounts ( Adepoju, Compcros).
I have also done one print on demand publication, on Amazon.
Yesterday, the 16th of October 2026, I discovered that ChatGPT can speedily build and host elegant websites in perhaps less than ten minutes, particularly if a PDF is used in feeding to Chat the information to be used, even a PDF linking to various sources online.
I shall be rendering my work as PDFs with the formatting help of Chat and which the AI will then upload as a website.
I've already done this with four projects. I intend to complete at least two conversions daily:
Exploring Cosmos: A Journey through the Akporode Universe of Bruce Onobrakpeya ( the most successful conversion so far)
