A residency by application is available for one visual artist and one writer at
the Civitella Ranieri Center in 2011 through our collaboration with The
UNESCO-Aschberg Bursaries for Artists Programme.
The Civitella Ranieri Foundation will provide the two selected UNESCO-Aschberg
Laureates with an apartment, work space, and two meals six days per week for a
six-week residency. UNESCO will provide round trip air travel to Rome from the
country of origin. The Laureates may each choose from one of four sessions in
our residency season running from May through October, 2011.
Eligibility:
The UNESCO-Aschberg Bursaries for Artists Programme is open to professional
international visual artists and writers, except for those living within the
United States and the United Kingdom. Candidates must be between 25 – 35 years
of age. English is the common language at The Center therefore the Laureate must
be able to speak English reasonably well.
The announcement will be made on the UNESCO website on August 15th. The
application deadline will be September 26th and the Laureates will be contacted
in early January, 2011.
Application:
Please visit our website NEWS section after August 15th for the link to the
Civitella Ranieri Foundation/UNESCO-Aschberg application. All applicants will
