Like we gathered last season
To wait return of wine bearer.
Drenched with sweat of expectation
We sweat in anticipation.
Our minds nibble at expectation of wine
Like minds of expectant Nobelists
Nibbling at expectation of laurel.
Season after season
Wine bearer from far land
Return for merriment
On mother's nudity,
Made nude by our hands.
Wine bearer soon
Will saunter across father's obi
Into mother's unwilling crotch.
We,
Offspring of denuded motherhood
Will scramble to drink from wine gourd.
We swallowed messages of Moses,
Charades of chastity,
We swallowed holy hogwash.
We will swallow again
Liquor from far land,
We will sleep after.
We will wake
Clutching
Gourd of sour wine.
