Is the town on the west bank of the River Niger (opposite Idah on the east bank) Agenebode or Agenegbode?. I should know not to be curious because I have heard that curiosity killed the cat but I cannot help but be curious.

Yes, Adeniba Adepoyigi; JUI is from Agenebode, Nigeria, not Brisbane, Australian; and in accord with civilized international norm, I am a Nigerian, not an Agenebodean; only cave-men/women describe themselves according to the addresses of their coves rather than the Respectable nation they belong. The Modern Man/woman is described by Nationality, not by Ethnic Group; your ancestral background doesnt have to be part of the original ethnic composition of a nation before you can be a loyal/patriotic citizen of the naton; that is the modern man's nationhood psychology and behavior. There is a spiritual aspect of national consciousness that transcends ethnic background, location of birth etc; this is why relatives of different nationality can fight against each other when there is a war between the two nations; and could you imagine somebody describing a Chinese American simply as a Chinese without the American citizenship, or German American as a just a German as if he/she is German citizen?, or an Irish Australian simply as an Irish without the Australian citizenship? Irrespective of their ethnic backgound, essentially every modern human being (except some Nigerians of course) wants to pride as a citizen of a bona fide nation, not as a wondering ethnic entity that happens to find itself in a geographical space/location called nation. As you would realize, the location people claim as ethnic base at any timepoint is commonly a happenstance of historical incident. Ethnic domains are not the basis of National definition in modern times. Take care. JUI

| "JUI from Agenebode" by Dr Joseph Igietseme. What? I thought Agenebode has changed its name to 'Nigerville' in furtherance of the 'great' vision of an indivisible Nigeria championed by the one and only JUI? If you are from Agenebode, you must be an Agenebodean, I would have thought? Adeniba Adepoyigi Australia
