And who is paying for all of this - still just in the PRIMARY season?---Bolaji Aluko
Bolaji:
The simple answer--Ordinary Nigerians through federal and state funds already siphoned
into the PDP coffers.
The line between the legitimate and illegitimate exercise of the power of incumbency
is frequently blurred during elections. Do not be surprised if some of the videos are paid
for through side contracts from the Ministry of Information of other parastatals
of the FGN, e.g the NTA.
When the PDP executive voted to jetisson zoning and allow GEJ ro run, I knew
immediately it will take a miracle to stop him from winning the PDP
presidential ticket. The rest of the PDP primaries will amount to just
going through the loops; they are just for show. The die is already cast!
GEJ is the PDP's best chance of retaining their stranglehold on power
in Nigeria. Non of the trio of IBB, Atiku and Gussau can garner the requisite
electoral votes to win the reflections in 2/3 of the states (as required
by the constitution) in a free and fair electoral process. The PDP
leaders are also aware that Prof. Attahiru's Jega's INEC is unlikely to abet
any attempts to rig during the 2011 presidential elections.
The PDP has already moved beyond the primary season into the Presidential
election season, while its opponents are still preparing to start their own
primaries.
The real question we should be asking is whether there are specific guidelines
under INEC's rules regarding when real campaigning for the 2011 should
begin.
Bye,
Ola

Na wa o!
When were all of these taped? Not since last week, no doubt, when GEJ declared!
So why all the hemming and hawing?
And who is paying for all of this - still just in the PRIMARY season?
So many questions, so few answers.....
I enjoyed the Ijaw music though - and particularly Mighty Duncan
Bolaji Aluko
Shaking his head
And having a belly laugh
And going off to make my own songs.....
