Please do not ask me who said 'when royalty is born comets are seen on the firmament' I can say the same that when a man of wisdom's ideas lights a place, awards (and rewards) fill his store. Professor of professor, the one someone addressed as Ekun Oko Bisi, whose mouth is sweeter than honey and whose money and honor sweetens the mouth. As they say in Latin 'A se yii se emi' Professor Falola, I greet and I hail you. The award is given to a faculty "who has maintained superior research programs over many years" A most coveted award, it carries a check in the amount of $10,000 along with other privileges. A citation acknowledges the contributions of his over a hundred books, his influence on the discipline, and his indefatigable energy and prolific output in the last three decades. Congrats!
