Job Profile
IMPAQ is seeking an entrepreneurial, highly motivated Research Associate International to help expand IMPAQ's international development work. The successful candidate will play a key role in ongoing research and technical assistance projects. The successful candidate will also work with technical staff and contract administrators to identify business opportunities and prepare proposals.
Duties include:
§ Track business intelligence leading up to bid opportunities
§ Prepare proposals for donor agencies such as USAID, MCC, and other domestic and foreign governments
§ Write proposal sections in collaboration with other technical staff
§ Review proposals for full compliance with the requirements of the RFPs/RFAs
§ Coordinate new business proposals process including proposal kick-off through delivery.
§ Travel to the field as need to lead/support program development efforts.
§ Manage the implementation of programs
§ Provide short-term technical assistance to field programs
Qualifications
§ Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
§ Flexible, team-oriented attitude
§ Strong organizational skills
§ Master's degree in international development/affairs, economics, or relevant field
§ Minimum 5 years professional experience, with 3 years of development country context experience.
§ Experience writing proposals for USAID, MCC, and/or other foreign assistance donors.
§ Excellent writing skills.
§ Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in cross-cultural settings
§ High accuracy and attention to detail.
§ Strong computer skills that include MS Office and desktop publishing.
§ Ability to work well independently with limited supervision
§ Ability to travel overseas on short-term assignments.
§ Strong project management skills
§ Strong interest in evaluations, donor assistance impact, and related issues.
§ Proficiency in Spanish, French, or other foreign language is a plus
