This is clearly a very, very serious and successful organization.Their organizational scope is truly global, seeming to cover every continent and subregion within continents and making progress,if not already achieving it,within every country. This organizational scope is reflected in both the locations of their conferences and the authors and subjects of their publications.Their web site gives an overview:
I stumbled on them while doing a search for Chinua Achebe's unforgettable essay "The Igbo World and its Art" from his Hopes and Impediments and Cole and Aniakor's Igbo Arts: Community and Cosmos, and came upon the scintillating lines of Theophilus Okere's "The Structure of the Self in Igbo Thought".I traced the text to a book and stumbled on the wonderful wealth of this organization.
Thanks
