Dear All,
We would like to take this opportunity to inform you that the School
of Extension and Development Studies and School of Interdisciplinary
and Trans-disciplinary Studies, Indira Gandhi National Open University
will be organizing an international conference on "Diaspora and
Development: Prospects and Implications for Nation States", which will
take place in New Delhi, India during 14-15 October 2011.
The conference will aim at sharing ideas related to diaspora's
engagement in the development process. The conference will provide a
platform for debate and discussion on the issue. Shortlisted papers
will be published by the internationally reputed publisher.
We would like to invite scholars interested in diaspora studies
especially those who work in academics, NGO, public policy etc. We
kindly ask you to confirm your participation in this event by May 15,
2011.
The concept note is enclosed hereby for your kind reference. Please

kindly circulate this email to scholars interested to participate in
the conference.Depending on the availability of funds, travel charges
will be provided to those whose papers are accepted for
presentation.However, the Organising Committee will appreciate if
