USA Africa Dialogue Series - Re: CRIME WAVE AND BRAGGARDS - HOUSTON IS HOME AWAY FROM REAL HOME IN NIGERIA!!

CRIME WAVE  AND BRAGGARDS-  HOUSTON IS HOME AWAY FROM REAL HOME IN NIGERIA.

NIGERIANS SHOULD FACE REALITY AND STOP BRAGGING AND EMPTY POMPOUSNESS.
NIGERIA HAS IMAGE PROBLEM AND NIGERIANS ABROAD REFUSE TO ADDRESS IT  LIKE WHAT IS HAPPENING AT HOME WERE FEW TARNISH THE IMAGE OF MAJORITY  AND NOTHING IS DONE ABOUT IT.

NIGERIANS ABROAD LIKE AT HOME OVER EXAGGERATE THINGS AND OVER ESTIMATE THEIR WORTH. NIGERIANS OR AFRICAN POPULATION IN TEXAS  AND IN HOUSTON TEXAS IS NOT UP TO 2% PERCENT OF THE POPULATION. AND FOR AFRICANS AND NIGERIANS TO BE RELEVANT IN ELECTIONS IN TEXAS OR IN HOUSTON THEY HAVE TO HAVE THE POPULATION AND THEY DONT. HALF OF THE 2% PERCENT ARE NOT AMERICAN CITIZENS  AND THEY CAN'T VOTE. ALSO THEY ARE SCATTERED ALL OVER THE STATE IN DIFFERENT ELECTORAL DISTRICTS TO BE EFFECTIVE.

THEIR POPULATION IN HOUSTON AND TEXAS IS NOT UP TO 2 % PERCENTAGE OF THE POPULATION OF TEXAS OR POPULATION IN HOUSTON. ALSO, MORE THAN HALF ARE NOT AMERICAN CITIZENS AND MANY ARE ILLEGAL ALLIENS THEN HOW CAN YOU ELECTED ANYTHING.

ON HEALTHCARE WORKERS - NIGERIANS AND AFRICANS ALSO BRAG TOO MUCH ON THE NUMBER OF AFRICANS DOCTORS AND NURSE AND HEALTH CARE WORKERS IN USA OR IN TEXAS OR HOUSTON. USA HAS AMERICANS BORN DOCTORS AND HEALTHCARE WORKERS 85% PERCENT OF HEALTHCARE WORKER WHO OPERATED THEIR HOSPITALS AND HEALTHCARE FACILITIES AND AMERICA CAN NOT HAND OVER SUCH A CRITICAL INDUSTRY TO FOREIGNERS, BUT AMERICAN CAN EMPLOY THEM. SEE BELOW. AMERICANS HAS AMERICANS  BORN 85% PERCENT DOCTORS AND HEALTHCARE WORKERS WHO WORK IN AMERICAN HEALTHCARE FACILITIES, HOSPITALS, CLINIC AND HEALTHCARE RESEARCH ORGANISATION INCLUDING PHARMACIST, DOCTORS, NURSES, RADIOLOGIST ETC. AND FOREIGNER LEAD BY INDIANS/ASIAN 17% PERCENT, CANADIANS 1% PERCENT, MEXICANS, 1% PERCENT, EUROPEANS 2 PERCENT, AFRICANS 1 % PERCENT OTHER 1% PERCENT.

QUOTE "There are plenty more US-born doctors in the States than there are foreign MDs, but there are definitely a lot of foreigners in the profession.  According to information retrieved from the American Medical Association by USA Today, out of nearly 795,000 physicians in the US, about 185,000 of them are from other countries, 127 other countries to be exact.  Furthermore, 24% of all doctors in US training programs are foreigners."USATODAY AND AMERICAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION 2010

NIGERIAN BRAG TOO MUCH. I HAVE VISITED HOUSTON AND DID THE MATH AND IT ALL COMES TO HOGWASH ALL THESE THEIR BRAGGARD ABOUT THE POPULATION OF NIGERIANS IN TEXAS AND HOUSTON. INFACT THE CHINESE AND INDIANS HAS MORE AT STAKE IN HOUSTON AND TEXAS THAN NIGERIANS OR AFRICANS. THE CHINESE AND ASIANS HAVE MORE CORPORATE, SOLE BUSINESS  AND MORE THAN 15 BANKS IN HOUSTON THAN NIGERIAN OR AFRICANS AND THEY SURE HAVE MORE POPULATION.

THE POPULATION OF HOUSTON IS ABOUT 5 MILLION PEOPLE AND 65%PERCENT IS WHITE, 18 PERCENT HISPANICS AND 14 PERCENT BLACKS AND 4 PERCENT OTHERS AND THE IS 70 % PERCENT WHITE  POPULATION  AND HISPANICA AND BLACKS HAVE THE 30%PERCENT FOR THE WHOLE OF TEXAS. PLEASE NIGERIA OR AFRICANS DOES NOT SHOW ON THE RADAR.

REGARDS AFRICANS IN TEXAS, DALLAS AND HOUSTON, NIGERIANS ARE  THE ONLY AFRICANS IN AMERICAN  CITIES   WERE THE IS FBI OFFICE AND TASK FORCE FOR AFRICANS CRIMINALS (NIGERIAN PROFILE FOR CRIME) TO COMBAT NIGERIAN GANG WAVE OF CRIME OPERATES   ONLY IN  NEW YORK AND TEXAS, DALLAS AND HOUSTON  BECAUSE OF CRIMES IN CREDIT CARDS FRAUD, MORGAGE CRIME, MEDICAL CRIME , HEALTHCARE CRIME, INSURANCE AND BANK CRIME, DRUGS ETC. JUST GO CHECK FBI, IMMIGRATION AND OTHER LAWS AGENCIES. SOME NIGERIANS IN HOUSTON, DALLAS, NEW YORK  HAVE GIVEN NIGERIANS BAD NAMES ALL OVER AMERICA AND LETS TALK ABOUT IT ALSO AND FIND WAYS TO CORRECT IT.

THE ARE GOOD THINGS ABOUT HOUSTON  LIKE MANY CITIES AND YOU GUYS ALSO NEEDS TO POINT OUT THAT NIGERIANS AND NIGERIAN FROM HOME  CREATED THE PROBLEMS LIKE HIGH CRIME WAVE  AND OSTENTENTIOUS BRAGGARDS AND CRIME LIVING LIKE AT HOME. THEY  BRING THE SAME TYPE OF CRIME AND CORRUPTION AT HOME INTO AMERICAN CITIES AND THATS  WHY NIGERIANS IN TEXAS HAVE A BAD REPUTATION WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENTS IN TEXAS CITIES LIKE HOUSTON AND DALLAS.

THE IS A VERY HIGH NIGERIA CRIM RATE  AND WAVE IN TEXAS,  HOUSTON, DALLAS  AND NIGERIAN NEEDS TO TALK ABOUT IT. IN HOUSTON LIKE IN NIGERIA IT IS FASHIONABLE TO BE SEEN AS A 419 PERSON LIKE IN NIGERIA. NIGERIANS IN HOUSTON SOME ARE DOING WELL BUT ALSO THE CRIME WAVE OF NIGERIANS - CREDIT CARD CRIME, MEDICAL FRAUD, BANK FRUAD DRUG ETC. HAS TARNISHED NIGERIANS IN TEXAS AND IN AMERICA AND NIGERIANS NEES TO TALK ABOUT IT. THE PROBLEM IS FEW NIGERIANS BUT  NIGERIANS DO NOT ADDRESS IT LIKE WHAT IS HAPPENING AT HOME.

ALSO, THE ASIANS,( INDIANS, VIETNAMESE ETC) AND CHINESE HAVE AT LEAST 20  ASIAN AND CHINESE BANKS AND FINANCIALS INSTITUTIONS IN TEXAS AND HOUSTON.  THE CHINESE AND ASIANS HAVE BEEN LATE COMERS IN HOUSTON BUT NIGERIANS HAS BEEN POPULATED IN HOUSTON FOR OVER 25 YEARS,  AND YET THE FEW CHINESE AND ASIANS OWN ALL THE NEW SHOPPING MALLS, MANY CORPORATE, FRANCHISE, MANY BANK AND BIG OFFICE BUILDINGS AND BUSINESS WHILE NIGERIANS CONCENTRATED ON WEEKLY WEDDING, PARTIES, DRUNKINGNESS AND INFACT THE ARE MORE DRUNKS NIGERIANS IN HOUSTON THAN ANY OTHER CITY.

ALSO, THE DIVORCE RATE AMONG NIGERIANS IN TEXAS, HOUSTON AND DALLAS IS THE HIGHEST AMONG NIGERIANS IN AMERICA.

ON THE OIL COMPANIES  - HOW MANY NIGERIANS WORK IN THE OIL COMPANIES IN HOUSTON OR IN THE OIL FIELDS OF TEXAS ALMOST ZERO.

NIGERIANS SHOULD STOP TOO MUCH BRAGGING AND FACE REALITY AND WORK TO IMPROVE ON THE POSITIVE BECAUSE THE NEGATIVE IS TOO MUCH AMONG US.

Enyimba,

How come you guys have not elected a Nigerian in Houston or a rep in the house of rep. Many other nationals are doing so to enable them have a say in the American polity. Please instill this consciousness in the minds of the teeming population out their that political and economic power work hand in glove.

I am glad that Tony's expedition to Houston is opening up another chapter and we encourage him to make such trips often to keep him in the light of of the new world order. Tony I could not be prouder way to go.

Now you know the reason Nigerians all over the World choose Houston for their Wedding
Ceremonies.  Houston is the Nigerian Capital of the World.  There are more Nigerians in Houston than
in any other city in the World outside Nigeria.  Houston has its own Nigerian Nollywood.  All the oil
companies doing business in Nigeria have the headquarters in Houston, and that explains the reasons
we have these many Nigerians here.  Houston Medical Center is the largest employer of Nigerians in the
Health Professions anywhere in the World. Texas Southern University in Houston is another Nigerian University
in U.S.A.

Next time you visit, please stop by at Finger Licking Restaurant located at 9817 Bissonnet Street for all of your
Yoruba flavor Soups, and Safari Restaurant located at 10000 block of Bissoneet for all your Ofe Owerri and Uha Soups.

Thanks Otoiheoma Egbe, I have visited Houston Texas about 3 times in the past, with quite a few family members being based there, but I have not been to any of the Nigerian hotspots. I will be there, by God's grace, in May and possibly in October this year as well, so wait till I demand of my cousins to take me to United Sisters.

Good stuff.

NIGERIANS,

It was a wonderful experience for me last weekend, when I visited Houston, Texas. For an average Nigerian, who lives here in the USA and feels like they are missing home, they should visit Houston, Texas, and Experience Nigeria in its true Nature. It is indeed Home away from Real Nigerian Atmosphere. From the climate, via the Nigerian communites, to anything that is obtainable in Nigeria of our nation, can be found in Houston Texas!!

While visiting my cousins in Houston last weekend, I was taken to a Nigerian Restaurant, called United Sisters. As we entered and took our seats, we were presented with the Menu, which contained the list of ONLY Nigerian dishes. Then the Waitress asked what we wanted. I ordered for Pounded Yam. Then I was asked what kind of soup I wanted. I asked for my options, and she went: Egusi, Ogbono, Okora, Bitter leaf, Vegetable soup or combinations of whatever I wanted. I was stunned to hear these, and thought that I was in some restaurant in Owerri!! That they had these kinds of soup and the Stock-fish to compliment them blew my mind.  After this surprise, we moved on to another Typical Nigerian spot.

This time, it was a Bar, where Ugba, Nkwobi, and various other Nigerian delicacies were being served. These are being washed down with Odekwu, Heinekens, and Red wine, all in their big bottles. A D.J. was also in attendence dishing out Nigerian tunes and melody as the Nigerians were dancing away. I was more than thrilled, for it was exactly a typical Nigerian atmosphere, just like Home!! Here it seemed to be wholly Men Affairs Joint, with few ladies,  who popped in and out. It was, again very relaxing and thrilling atmosphere, where Married men seem to go and hang out without their wives, and still behave themselves!!

From this spot, we left for another spot, not far from this Men Affairs only spot. This spot this time is again a Nigerian owned, like a Night club full of Men and Ladies, with No Gate Fee!! Here again various African tunes were rendering the air and ladies and gentlemen were doing their thing, as booze of all kinds flowed freely. I was thrilled to experience all these, which were NOT obtainable in other cities of USA, especially in the North, Midwest, East coast and West coast. It looks like Houston, has the Largest population of Nigerians, in USA, from my experience. Every corner in Houston is a Nigerian.

If anybody is Missing Nigeria in USA, I will recommend for such a person to take a trip to Houston, Texas, and you will be at Home with other Nigerians. It is indeed Home away from our Real Nigeria atmosphere in the motherland!! Just Sharing!! Otoiheoma Egbe.
