When the revolt first started, the Libyan rebels, opposition to the Gaddafi regime, publicly refused to accept any support from foreign countries, especially western countries. They announced that the fight is theirs and they want to do it on their own. Now, Gaddafi military forces are pounding them heavy, both on air and land attacks. More than likely, the rebels will lose the fight against Gaddafi forces even after losing thousands of men to the battle. Maybe the end should be justifying the means. Do you think the rebels were foolish to have refused foreign support in the first place? What's you take on this? Please post all replies and comments here: |
