Ifuemi's Comments 1 & 2 :
Good morning. ...........................
A good question to ask ourselves is : what do these You-tube videos say about the medical facilities, state of vehicles and roads in our country?
From my reflections, it is obvious that rather than get foreigners to invest in Crude oil, Palm oil, Retail, and Land grabs, one of the areas we should encourage them to invest in is : 1. building and maintaining state of the art hospitals and/or invest in our existing hospitals and medical training schools. We all know how helpful this would be . The benefits would be many.
While our government amongst other pressing issues, (We won't go into detail here) also focuses in making sure we have good roads and safe vehicles to travel in. By :
1. constructing proper roads with good networks
2. Ensuring the roads are free of highway robbers ad kidnappers
3. Citizens are able to buy inexpensive good quality cars
4. Adequate training for those who want to become auto mechanics. ( Foreigners could invest in auto mechanic training schools as well-I mean engineering training schools, subsidized by the government) So it is not just a matter of "dis pikin no know book, make e go learn mechanic work jare"
However, this does not mean that Nigerians who have had the opportunity of being trained by those who are really good cannot invest in such training schools as well. I am sure we have brothers and sisters in Diaspora who are great auto engineers and wish to return home or invest at home. Such great minds should please come home to salvage our country by teaching our youths what they, our own Nigerian experts know. It would go a long way in rescuing thousands of lives and saving Nigerians time and money when visiting the mechanics workshop.
Apart from going to go to the LASTMA office, visitig the mechanic's workshop or hospital is something most Nigerians fear.
I wish us all a very good and pleasant day.
All the best ,
Ifuemi Adepoju.
2ND RESPONSE:
2. Apart from the religious issues this videos draw our attention to, we should look at the other issues it provokes especially what it tells us of the Nigerian system.
The man had the accident because his brakes failed on a bad road.
It is common in Nigeria to have people who are not well trained or educated enough to be auto mechanics.

This goes to show that we have to put in better effort at ensuring our youths are educated.

In "Just Like That",Abami eda sang:
" I remember my brother....
He kill person for my shrine,
He wake am the third day,
Wonder wonder wonder"
It was about Prof Hindu the magician who was Fela's friend and would come to shrine, kill somebody and wakes the same on the third.
Fela started promoting the guy around the world until Beko burst the bubble.
The medic one day went to the shrine and asked Fela to tell the magician to kill his guinea pig again.Pronto he did.Beko asked him if he was truly dead and he said yes.The Doc brought out a syringe from his pocket and poked it to the bum of the "dead",it was "ariwo lenu vendor".Beko walked away with a scornful smile.
On another occasion Fela went to Ajilete to do native bullet proof .He was given a vest which was worn on a goat and the Babalawo fired a gunshot at it and the animal tanda like Egbesu.
Fela rushed back to town and was going to storm Dodan Barracks to harass Obasanjo with his "bullet proof" on.
Hear the rest of the story as he narrated it to me in his house in 1990.
" Na my ancestors we say my death never reach make me go boast for Beko say make him siddon dey do oyinbo medicine,me I don get power and na Obasanjo I wan go face so"
" Beko come call Koye and his Ore Falomo wey get one double barrel gun.Na so we enter bush with a goat wey we nack the vest for body. That Falomo na doctor plus marksman. As he fire the guy like this, the goat neck just tear commot fiam"
"Two things come dey pain me.I no dey chop goat, dem don kill one for me.Upon that be say Koye and Beko just dey give me one kind snare look like 'na so you for go kill yourself"

Truly backward, dumb, primitive, and superstitious. Another trick from the 419 Nigerian mega pastors. Shame!

You are either a gullible moron - or a crook: or both!
This is the kind of IDIOCY Nigerians still believe and buy into in 2011.
Why then still bother to build hospitals...?
Why not then try to wake every Nigerian that dies...and invite credible media representatives to witness this 'miracle'...why report it in a video without pictures - if you are not CROOKS?
Why not show the world the man's mangled body after the car accident - and the man after he came "Back From The Dead After 3 Days"?
Omo ole!
Africans are backward, dumb, primitive and still superstitious!
Especially Nigerians!
And Nigerians who belive in this CRAP and CON-ARTIUSTS and 419ers who give Nigerians a BAD NAME in the world!
