Congratulations to a giant yet humble scholar. I join the many people who have congratulated you, our dear Professor Toyin Falola, an iconic scholar who has consistently promoted the spheres and dimensionalities of African scholarship through astute teaching, committed service, and laudable publishing. It is no surprise that you continue to rake in awards after awards. A golden fish can never hide undetected. May these numerous awards that recognize your giant imprints on the sands ofglobal scholarship referencing and significantly validating African and historical scholarships, continue to endorse this arena of scholarship. May it equally be a source of hope, energizing those whose lives you have increasingly touched and affected by your hardwork and engaging spirit, especially the younger generation of African scholars. Many blessings as you celebrate yet another milestone in the recognition of your stellar and far ranging efforts, and person. I equally congratulate your family- your wife and children, and expanding nuclear family especially, whose eternal. genuine, aflamed, selfless and unconditional love has contributed to your nurturing and wellness in supporting and promoting you in the contributions and existential difference you make within the wider world. I shall pop a bottle of champagne in your honor, and for the ongoing fructification of the scholarly Shola, while the drums reverberate from behind the seven hills, the Oke of Ibadan. Congratulations to a dear friend, brother, scholar, and confidant. Let's celebrate!!! --- On Mon, 8/8/11, kenneth harrow <harrow@msu.edu> wrote:
