As you know, from Day One I didn't believe Ghaddafi would go anywhere, "Live and Die in Libya" was the phrase. He remains defiant. I've seen some amazing footage on Channel4 news tonight. Lyndsey Hilsum, a woman who has been reporting for years, was taken through underground tunnels in Ghaddafi's compound. There was a fully equipped hospital down there, and doors made of steel, so strong nobody seemed able to open them! All the designer clothes and shoes were found strewn across the floor. We have a biography of Ghaddafi so I knew he donned his Piere Cardin silk pyjamas before he got into one of his bunkers at night. Dictators indeed! By the way, Lynsey Hilsum said there were families on Tripoli's streets today, some of whom came to greet her saying, "thank you all in Britain so much for supporting us!"
