To Mr. Ayah and the Campaign:
Cameroonians in the US will be voting on Oct. 9 to elect the president of Cameroon. This trend reflects the entrenched transnational-ism that further differentiates Continental Africans from African Americans. In fact, African governments are increasingly establishing African Diaspora offices to engage their nationals, including those who are US citizens.
Your campaign hits all the right notes and I could hear violins. Your inclination to spend your own money stirs my soul. In all my life, in whatever I do, I am committed to that example to chart a course and expect nothing back. My Mom, an educator and a political person (SDF), inoculated in me the value of passion for cause; it should be intrinsic - internally motivated. I am happiest when I conceptualize and execute what has never been done. And money does not impress me. In my experience, the quality of minds can break barriers where money cannot. Sometimes, my cup of fresh coffee is enough
.
For, example, yes - from DC to Montgomery, people can now shoot the breeze, jump up and down because I researched, coordinated the community outreach and wrote the needs assessments and recommendations with my money. I drafted the wordings of the African Heritage Proclamation. Mine are documented facts with times, when and how. Yes, again, when I am done, I am gone. It is for the legacy; I don't need an accolade. Rule number 1: I never get entangled in other people's agendas. I choose what I fight for and why - and take no prisoner. That's why I don't get into Cameroon's politics from abroad. It is a like a dog bites man roulette. Soon, fighting starts if and when a pie is in sight.
But how come they have not affected anything in their hoods abroad? How can people stay across the oceans and change political players on the grounds - anywhere in Africa? I dream but not that far. NATO is unlikely to bomb the place for the opposition to advance. Even if Sarkozy of France is darting as the new Napoleon Bonaparte of the 21st century, Ivory Coast and Libya are enough for one season. That would give him the oil he needs from Libya (35%) and cocoa unlimited from Ivory Coast to make chocolates or anything that cocoa does.
Right now, my prioritized interests are non-partisan civic issues that count for the difference. I can choose. LESA USA is one of the finest and acclaimed African alumni associations that has done more for the Gross National Product of Cameroon. Ladies built a water system from start to finish. I can send the video. Only Adisadel, Ghana comes close in terms of alumni power from Africa Diaspora.
For the purpose of introduction, we are the Ladies of the Golden Scepters (LOGS). We are not involved in African partisan politics from abroad. Therefore, whether a candidate wins or not, I respectfully expect you all to honor our invitation to Lourdes Golden Jubilee in 2013, God willing. We can talk to Mr. Biya and Mme. Chantal - and all the candidates. Be the guests of LOGS. Of course, we will pay for the grand hurray - the triumph of commitment to uplift by giving a dependent child the best tool of life: the opportunity to go to school, especially when the parent cannot afford it. That is what LESA USA scholarship is all about: It matters.
What LOGS do outranks USAID. We are open to what Mrs. Hillary Clinton wants to learn.
Educating the Girl Child is everybody's business to ensure a solid anchor for the nation . The collaborative transcends mere politics. How so? The descent to moral decadence is part of the social pathologies gripping Cameroon and Africa. So even if roads are fixed, airports are outfitted, bribery is curtailed, and electricity is everywhere, there is not enough public funds to rehabilitate people impacted by co-factors in a socially dysfunctional society - abandoned children begging on the streets, broken and beaten families, orphanages, big belly men and small girls, etc. The intangible costs cannot be fully estimated and they affect the psyche of society. The rich will be afraid of, or even despise, the poor. The poor will hate anything about the wealthy. You have all the ingredients of a mutually paranoid nation. That's no way to lead any country. The reigns of Baby and Papa Doc of Haiti and the Lavalas Aristidian epoch are examples.
You see, even on free Yahoo Internet, some Cameroonians and Africans exhibit hangovers from their early lives. They insult people and debate nothing constructive as manifestations of their foundational pathologies, which they project on others. Nothing cures that, not even late money. You give these people any position, only God can deliver a rescue passage.
In America, there are all sorts of social services but when budget is tight, they may get axed. Therefore, parents and adults should take into account early orientations. Experts in behavioral sciences agree that the formative years are vital. It has nothing to do with book and textbook and more about affective factors. What good is an intelligent but dubious character? Such a person can become a danger to society, even becoming a terrorist.
That's why I think tangibles issues should be discussed as a civil society; not only soliciting donations for political campaigns.
Well, that is where LESA USA can be a solution from a constructivist approach, taking into consideration not only the curricula content, but also mental attitude and spiritual balance. It is called the implicit curricula. So whoever wins, we need to deal with the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education and all of you good people who are committed to shaping a better society. The test is in the deed.
Please, when next you visit America, get in touch with LESA USA. I heard you were in Chicago with Manyu people in June 2011. We were in Milwaukee the week before. There is always a next time, no problem. Again, this invitation is extended to all.
I can tell you that you have the critical elements to make a good leader whether you are president or not. Honestly, a good leader may not need a title. The qualitative indicator is sincere commitment, even if you are the coordinator of buses in a Motor Park in your village. Do it properly is the byword. God Bless You.
Ladies of the Golden Scepters would be in Charlotte NC from June 15-17 2012. Yes, wherever we go, we collaborate with the government there. Expect this to be big, involving the entire African community, too. Plan to send your representatives.
It would not be good omen to realize that after October 9, 2011, the presidential contestants disappear from civil society echelons only to resurface for the next elections. This message applies to all the 21 candidates.
May God grant you all the wisdom to rise above the politics of now and serve beyond the need to be president.
Peace and blessings to you and your family.
Happy Saturday to Everyone
MsJoe

Is AYAH not looking for Campaign funds just like some other candidates? From November, 2011 to date, AYAH has strained his petty businesses and overstretched his savings by singlehandedly spending some 40 million francs on selling his vision of a Born Again Cameroon and sensitizing Cameroonians to register and vote ahead of the October polls. Campaign funds per presidential candidate may not even be up to 30 million francs. It is disturbing to note that a huge number of presidential aspirants who've submitted their applications with ELECAM are targeting campaign funds to fatten their bank accounts. Such concern from the Cameroonian people is very legitimate and the AYAH Transitional Presidency beginning in November will merge political parties up so that only four parties may exist in the whole country.Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) About Hon. Paul AYAH1. Who is Paul AYAH?Paul AYAH is a patriotic Cameroonian super scale judge and second class chief from Akwaya, Manyu, South West Region. He is happily married to Endale Valentine with four issues of the union. He's actively been in the law for close to 35 years – both in the courts interpreting the law (24 years) and in parliament making laws (10 years). Out of his 24 years in the courts, he's sat on the Bench for 20 years, serving as president of court for 18 years. He has been a parliamentarian for Akwaya for close to 10 years. And the lone CPDM parliamentarian who in 2008, refused to vote for constitutional amendment scraping off presidential term limits.Paul AYAH owns St. Valentine orphanage in Buea that has raised and sponsored many Cameroonians with about 10 of them through the University of Buea. He's head of the following civil society organizations: PROPS Cameroon, Tools n Tools, VAYAM, IMUH IMOR – all of which carry out rural development with the aim of helping the rural poor and reducing poverty.Apart from being with children and doing charitable works plus getting updates on current world affairs, AYAH loves writing, journalism and farming. He loves watching sports especially tennis – he's a great fan of Serena Williams. He doesn't mind a chilled drink at leisure.2. Is Paul AYAH a CPDM member? No. Paul AYAH resigned from the CPDM on January 3, 2011. Initially, he'd shown interest to challenge Mr. Biya within the CPDM but got frustrated that Mr. Biya would not muster the courage to convene a congress for CPDM to decide their presidential candidate. He now is the chairman and presidential candidate for the People's Action Party, PAP – a Kumba headquartered party that was founded on April 26, 1991 by late Professor Victor Mukwelle Ngoh.3. How did Paul AYAH find himself in the CPDM, given that it's a party that has brought untold hardship and suffering to Cameroonians? Not every church member is a good person. There is no way every member of the CPDM is bad! In fact, as you read this, there still are good persons within the CPDM who lack the courage to come out openly as AYAH has done. And by the way, at the twilight of AYAH's career in the court, chiefs and elites of Akwaya had tough times on countless occasions convincing AYAH to represent them in Yaoundé in order to bring roads and development to Akwaya. You might be interested to learn and in fact it is a shame to state that, to access Akwaya, you have to snake through hundreds of kilometers in Nigeria.Truth be told: the CPDM has one of the best constitution but it is not being put into practice. And with the intension of bringing change within the CPDM, AYAH felt frustrated year in year out. True to his profession as a jurist and someone of good conscience, AYAH from day one in parliament voted against most Bills tabled to parliament by the CPDM to the astonishment and embarrassment of the CPDM party hierarchy. He is the lone CPDM parliamentarian, who in 2008, turned down bribes and refused to vote for constitutional amendment scraping off presidential term limits despite death threats.4. What is the assurance that Hon. AYAH will not betray us just as the others have?If AYAH were to betray Cameroonians, he'd have done so long ago. He would not have been bothered to risk his life and leave the CPDM. He would have accepted ministerial positions and/or huge sums of money offered him as bribe. As you read this, there is an emissary running behind AYAH making mouth-watering offers but he's turned them all down. AYAH confesses that for Cameroon to succeed, someone MUST sacrifice EVERYTHING and that if he were to betray Cameroonians and die today, he would not know what to tell God. The political situation in Cameroon is a mystery and AYAH is here to demystify it. In this day and age, it is very rare to find people like AYAH in Cameroon. And if we refuse to seize this moment, it would take centuries to produce another AYAH!5. Is AYAH the best candidate? Why?It takes vision, leadership, resolve, fortitude to lead a nation. Saying we need change is not enough. Amongst all Cameroon's presidential aspirants, it is only AYAH who has studied Cameroon under a fine microscope and written a vision: My Vision of a Born Again Cameroon. You can get a hard copy by contacting AYAH's Campaign headquarters at Bakassi Na Cameroun, Bomaka, Buea or visit AYAH's official websites atwww.ayahpaul.net or www.paprc2011.com for a soft copy. AYAH has served in two out of the three arms of government – judiciary and legislature. He intends to lead a five year transitional government after which he would step down and not be eligible to run for president! He believes in keeping differences aside and working together with other aspirants. AYAH is not so ambitious to be called Mr. President. In fact, he is the only presidential hopeful who has kept ambitions aside and placed country first by initiating talks with most, if not all other contenders. He's run helter-skelter behind Fru Ndi, Mboua Massock, KahWalla, Ben Muna, Garga Haman Adji, Dr. Ngassi ….6. How do I contribute to the campaign?By the time of publication of this FAQ, the Ayah Campaign team has Cameroonian volunteers who've left their jobs from China and America. Mr. Metouge in South Korea is donating two vehicles to assist with country wide transportation. Nadia, a young girl of about 25 resident in Douala dug deep into her savings and donated 25,000 francs as the first internal donor to the campaign. There are millions of young boys and girls who believe that it is time for Biya to own his failure and that it is time for us to change Cameroon.
