the old boy is in China!
"When one door is closed, the other is open."
The tragedy is that although his boastful title "king of kings of
Africa" must have at some time been impressive to the ears of his
bemused Brethren in the Arab League, he is no longer even in charge
of the 6 million people of the Libyan section of the great continent
of which he claims to be the king of kings.
One was hoping for necessary & sensible reform and not a protracted
guerilla type desert rats war which can only succeed in destabilising
Libya and with some of the enemy within, succeed in the sabotage and
destruction of valuable infrastructure, even disrupting oil production
– all of which could not be to the Libyan people's benefit.
This article is five days old and in the shifting sands five days is a
very long time indeed and therefore giving the ghost to the Libyan
people's revolt/ rebellion/ revolution could still be nothing but
premature scribbling which alerts the rebels to beware of the
potential dangers ahead whilst at the same time providing some a
little hope of delay to the predictable final outcome ( Gaddafi gone)
and some temporary respite and solace to the Gaddafi-ites.
Question is, when Gaddafi is finally done and gone (from the planet)
what will they (the Gaddafites ) be fighting for? For Saif al-Islam al-
Gaddafi crown prince to Africa's crowned king of kings? Gaddafi
himself in humbly acknowledging his mortality and the possibility of
leaving the planet has already told his supporters in one of his last
messages (in perfect Arabic) to please go on fighting, even at a time
when they do not hear his voice. But go on fighting for what? TO roll
back the rebel advance ? Their control of most of Libya? To bring him
back? To enthrone a Gaddafi dynasty?
