Re: USA Africa Dialogue Series - QUERRY: QUOTATION ON SLAVERY

I recall the quote was recently accredited to a Prof somewhere in Nigeria and though I sent a rebuttal to say it was the late Comrade Tajudeen (surname lost to me) that said it in one of his first speaking engagements on assumption of office at the Pan African Office, I do not think my posting was published.

Now that you are keen on details, I will do my best to get it for you. AK

Subject: USA Africa Dialogue Series - QUERRY: QUOTATION ON SLAVERY

Dear all,
Recently I read a piece on this forum with a quotation to the effect that whereas slavery was forced on Africans, the reality today is that a ship is to berth in Lagos/Apapa people will voluntarily opt to be enslaved. This was the import of the quotation. Can anyone give me the full quotation, the author, source of the quotation. I intend making use of it in my writing. Thanks.
Atah Pine
