USA Africa Dialogue Series - Finally, something that scares rebels - books; not guns

Schools were bombed by NATO and teenagers ran away from school. Now they roam the streets as very wild bandits of all calibers, armed to the teeth in stolen vehicles, easily vexed, whereupon they descend into carnage making.  Crimes and other pathologies, hitherto unheard of in Libya, are gripping the ruined neighborhoods.  The blossoming of a generation of functional illiterates is just one of the glories (hee-haw) of Western managed democracy in Libya.

 

Some who study revolutions and counter revolutions know a force for cause from a farce  to calamity. One of such forces for cause was.....check out Ernesto Che Guevarra and Fidel Castro's July 26 Movement against the US-backed and militarized Batista regime in Cuba.  Captives were so well treated that army units surrendered to the July 26 Movement. After the conquest, rents were halved, lands redistributed to the poor, even Castro's family land. So what did these minority bush racists in Libya revolt against if the whole shebang took them to stone-age level of primitiveness? Unless we  see the improvements, including free electricity, abundant and subsidized food, this is an all-round tragic farce.

The rebels looted the University of Sirte … but they did not take the books – Algeria Isp - During the invasion of the city of Sirte, the 'rebels' have returned to the University of Sirte. They went directly into the administration offices, library and rooms. They have sacked all over the university. They took everything they can, also the furniture. But they did not take the books!

What can they do with books! For heating in winter by using them as fuel!
If they were smart, they would not let themselves be manipulated by Western! They were like soldiers for NATO and Qatar. They killed their brothers and sisters. They destroyed their country.
They should take a few books, to try to learn something and wake up!
