| The tomb of Gaddafi's mother has been damaged the most. A group of Libyan terrorist fighters belonging to a jihadist organization close to Al Qaeda have desecrated the graves in the cemetery of the Gadadfa Tribe in the city of Sirte and have burned the bones they found. Ennahar has obtained photos showing the desecration of the Gadadfa graves (graves from the Gaddafi tribe) in Sirte, which photos also show a group of Libyan Jihadi extremists in the court of the building where the tombs of Muammar Gaddafi's family are situated. Four tombs have been destroyed. According to reports to Ennahar those are the graves of Muammar Gaddafi's mother, his uncle and two other relatives who were buried in the yard of the house. The tomb of Gaddafi's mother has been damaged the most.
The grave-robbers have written the words "Committee of demolition of statues," on the walls of the graveyard, therewith claiming the graves they destroyed were just "statues" instead of the graves of Muslims who have been buried the Islamic way. The Libyan rebels' National Transitional Council is trying to hide these criminal acts of desecration which however clearly expose that there are lots of dangerous extremists amongst the people who tried to overthrow the Jamahiriya government. As the great scholars of Islam forbid the desecration of graves, those terrorists who claim to act in the name of Allah are nothing but blasphemers committing sacrilege; the Fatwas on this subject teach that the dead must be respected, regardless their religion or the crimes they are supposed to have committed during their lifetime.
