As a self-styled Internet documentalist, I know this issue with ASUU will not die a natural death till someone is brave enough to hold/initiate a virtual conference that can help raise awareness or simply throw light on the complexities rights and responsibilities in a failing nation-state. MKO says "you cannot (or maybe should not) shave a man's head in his absence" I agree. So I suggest that those who have contact(s) with National executives of ASUU; should reach out to them as soon as possible. Please tell them it is time to hold an informed debate or dialogue once and for all. I trust that this is possible under the leadership and direction of Professor Falola, the 'father' of this vibrant platform. In my opinion, holding such a virtual conference as this, is in line with the spirit of the mission statement he put out seven years ago.
What do we lose by educating ourselves instead of getting frustrated each time ASUU swings into action like NEPA?
A painful conclusion I have reached concerning this issue is that an academic group like ASUU is incompetent in communicating CLEARLY (meaning jargon-free format) with the rest of the world. If ASUU cannot state its own case clearly, they should hire a PR group to help them. Any thing less will give Lord Ikhide the god-sanctioned right to keep bashing them. Yes they deserve it!!! Stop this do-it-yourself perception creating and let the experts do their job on your behalf. Will ASUU keep mute or do something to swing public opinion in their favor? The next few days will tell us if the answer is blowing in the wind.......

Subject: USA Africa Dialogue Series - The Blogazette: Citizen Ikhide Ikheloa should leave Chris Abani alone
"After reading the latest Ikhide revelation of Chris Abani fibbing about how as an 8-year-old boy he toured Igbo communities with his mother and worked as her interpreter as she taught Igbo women catholic-style birth control and discussed menstrual cycles with these mothers, I decided that Abani is not the grand liar Ikhide is calling him, the guy is in gaga land and deserves our prayers and healing thoughts. Oh come on, man, an 8-year-old describing menstrual flow as waterfalls, rivers, and brooks with Igbo words Olu Oguibe, and I and not even Yvonne Chị Mbanefo know. Chris Abani is definitely not taking himself seriously, and he is probably laughing at us for taking him so seriously."
"I suggest that Ikhide and everybody else leave Big Chris alone. It is to white people he is lying and they choose to believe him. The guy is so unreal I am surprised his nose is not as long as the third mainland bridge.""
