Dear Compatriot
You said in part thus:"...The idea of using sharia law to govern any part or parts of the country or the country as a whole is a flagrant display of ignorance of the constitution of the land" Those with the correct understanding of Islam would say THE IDEA OF WILFUL IMPOSITION OF SHARIAH ON THE PEOPLE IS A FLAGRANT INFRACTION ON THE WILL OF ALLAH AS ENSHRINED IN THE QURAN AND AN EXCERSICE IN NULITY. the other idea i was told that a kalashinov costs minimum 2000 dollars and this is a weapon in abundance with this deviant element. this among others shows that the Boko Haram is no more the run-of-the-mill sectarian uprising with the potential to exhaust itself soon. Muslim elders in the north need to engage this critically. ...

Subject: USA Africa Dialogue Series - Boko Haram besiege Nigeria
The grievances of Boko Haram are many and they keep on changing the goal post each time they want to give reasons for their attacks on fellow Nigerians. The idea of using sharia law to govern any part or parts of the country or the country as a whole is a flagrant display of ignorance of the constitution of the land.
The Islamic leaders should educate the followers of Boko Haram. Allah created all human beings equal and he wants us to live in peace and harmony. If Allah is not happy with what is going on religiously in Nigeria, He has the Muslim clerics who can be told what to do. More importantly life is sacred and Allah will not ask anyone to go and terminate the life of any other person for whatever reason. If there is judgement later in life, why can't Boko Haram wait for Allah to deal with those who disobeyed Him on the day of reckoning? Why should they take law into their hand in the name of Allah who did not send them?
My appeal to the Boko Haram sect is to shelve their stealth and come to reason and be part of the progressives that want positive things for the country..
Nobody can fight for God because He has all powers to defend Himself. We must not become more zealous than God Himself.
We must reason together and live as moral beings and not like animals.
To besiege the nation with threats and killings of innocent fellow Nigerians as it is done by Boko Haram is the least expected of anyone who believes in the Almighty God who is benevolent and merciful.
