When I was a young lad, two academic giants whose names rang a loud bell in
our
household (and so many others) were Professor Chike Obi (mathematician) and
Professor Sam Aluko (economist) as we fondly referred to him in those days.
Professor Obi joined our great intellectual ancestors in 2008, and now
Professor
Aluko has joined him there, too. May Africa continue to produce women and men
of
similar intellectual timber!

My family and I join others in extending our condolences to the family.

Ike Udogu
