Sir, Ndewo! I do read, and enjoy, your postings. And, as usual, they are original. But, brother, you did not have to go to the village (somewhere in Imo State, I presume) to celebrate the traditional ritual of 'Afo gbara aka laa-o." I do so here, in America, yearly, in front of my house!! I make noise at midnight to "drive" away the "evil" forces. Neighbors don't complain. So, at the end of 2012, either go home, or shout on top of your voice, in Ibadan: "Afo gbara aka laa-0! Afo gbara aka laa-o! Afo gbara aka laa-o!"
