We are pleased to announce: Hands-On training in WorldMap (and specifically AfricaMap): a new mapping platform that supports innovative research and teaching involving Africa (worldmap.harvard.edu). This training will take place on Thursday March 29 from 9-12AM EST. The program is part of the conference: Re-Mapping Africa in GIS: From Humanities to Health at Harvard University. The conference, co-chaired by Suzanne Blier and Julia Finkelstein, is organized through the Center for Geographic Analysis at Harvard, under the sponsorship of the Committee for African Studies at Harvard. The training will be undertaking by Blier, Finkelstein along with research scientist, Ben Lewis, co-creator and Project Manager of WorldMap. This event will take place in the Science Center (roomB-09) at Harvard University. Please join us live on the web (http://gis.harvard.edu/conference).
