The promotion of gender equality has many facets one of it being the fight against gender based violence. One approach to counteract gender-based violence is strengthening the judicial system and eliminating barriers to justice for female victims of violence. This document deals with various factors (such as economic, social, cultural) which hampers judicial systems to efficiently provide fair treatment to female victims of violence.
