Abdul Bangura is without credibility on this matter. He is counting on members of this list being amnesiac about his vicious, racist, and offensive daily diatribe against Obama in the run-up to the 2008 elections. His anti-Obama campaign came complete with quotes from and links to racist websites and commentators and their racist attacks on then candidate Obama. Yet we're to believe that Bangura is an Afrocentic and a pan-AfriKanist! Like Basil, I find his pan-AfriKanism befuddling, the stuff self-ridicule and comedic commentary. Abdul's 2008 precedent is the reason it should not surprise those who were tortured by that anti-Obama campaign that he has picked up where he left off. After wondering silently to myself why an African with holier-than-thou claims to pan-AfriKan purity would hyper ventilate such petty, raw hatred daily towards a trend setting black politician, I asked him to explain to the list what exactly he had against Obama. After much evasive meanderings he let his guard down and stated that he disliked Obama because the latter, as a senator, had voted for a particular US post-civil war policy in Abdul's native Sierra Leone, the details of which I have to visit the archive to retrieve! It was an underwhelming, inane reason to display such unbridled hate for Obama. A hate that even led Abdul to become the mouthpiece and chief propagandist for the McCain-Palin campaign, when Hillary lost. His hatred for Obama seems to have now escalated because, among other sins, Obama intervened in Libya to help the rebels take out his brother, Ghadaffi. Yet in this renewed campaign against Obama, which one hopes doesn't get as disgusting as that of 2008, it has not occurred to Bangura that Romney, the latest Republican he is rooting for against Obama, is actually more hawkish and neo-conish in his foreign policy ideas, routinely accusing Obama of not being assertive, aggressive, and proactively militaristic enough. Blinded by his hatred for Obama, it hasn't occurred to Bangura that a President Romney would be more eager and willing to use US military force to engineer political outcomes around the world, and that he would take out more "brother" presidents in Africa and elsewhere than Obama would ever do. Well, if Bangura spent some time reflecting on the contradictions and logical incoherence of his fanatical, un-nuanced positions, we perhaps would be spared of his incredibly simplistic prescriptions and preferences.--

November is just around the corner, albeit some would say it is a lifetime in American politics. Given the fluidity of the economy, which is number one for us Americans (as fellow alumnus Brother Bill Clinton would say, "It's the Economy, Stupid"), it behooves us to pay attention to the daily polls. And to the good Mwalimu who commented that as Europe goes left, the US is trying to go right, I guess we must be on a reverse course. When France and Britain went right, we went left, sort of. So, as we say in America, it is even-steven!Sent: 5/8/2012 5:46:52 PMSubject: RE: USA Africa Dialogue Series - Romney Widening His Lead Over Obama--
How daily is your daily? Does it mean that you overlook daily ones that deal with Obama's lead, or is it that all daily polls are the ones that deal with Romney's lead?

There are other polls and reports out there that show that Obama leads Romney! When do you plan to post such polls? We need a plate of balanced diet from you, or stop feeding us!
