In 1956, the Mayor of Chicago declared October 17 as Frank Lloyd Wright Day.
in honour of the Foremost American Architect, Frank Lloyd Wright.
October 18 1987 saw the passing away of Femi Johnson who made
Architectural History by building the first Steel Glass framed
Skyscraper in West Africa.
Frank Lloyd Wright died on April 9 1959, the next Day, April 10 1959,
Femi Johnson
turned 25 years.
The first Skyscraper was an insurance building built in Chicago, it
was 11 floors and Glass Steel framed.Chicago is currently the third
largest City in the U.S. and also theprinting capital of the U.S.
Femi Johson was an Insurance Broker, he had his Sky scraper, 9 floors
and a Pent house in Ibadan, now the third largest City in Nigeria and
also publishing capital of Nigeria.
October 16 1968 saw the birth in Ibadan, Oyo state, of Jumoke Adenowo
who made History at the Obafemi Awolowo ,Architecture department by
being the first to make a distinction at the Masters Level.,
