USA Africa Dialogue Series - The African Diaspora Association (ADA)

The African Diaspora Association (ADA) is looking for a president to direct the affairs of the organization.   The ADA is a nationwide/international organization based in New York. Its membership includes organizations in the African community in the country and elsewhere and individuals. Membership is not limited to Africans: it embraces Africans in the Diaspora, including African Americans, Africans from the Caribbean, South America and Europe and friends and lovers of Africa are all welcome to be part of the ADA   Its objectives include galvanizing the African community into a viable economic and political force to play its rightful place in the United States and in the Diaspora.   The president of the ADA must be community-oriented, able to galvanize the diverse African Diaspora and also share the aspirations of the association.   A major project planned for the Diaspora is a credit union. The proposed African Diaspora Federal Credit Union is planned to provide a firm economic base for the African Diaspora. Among the duties of the president of the ADA is to plan toward the Credit Union.   The Board of Directors wishes to stress that presidency of the ADA does not automatically constitute the presidency of the proposed credit union. For purposes of clarity and to remove all doubt the ADA is the sponsor organization of the credit union but the president of the ADA may not hold any position in the proposed credit union.   The president of the ADA will report to the board of directors of the ADA.   Please send your email to: council@africandiasporacreditunion.org
