I find it perplexing that the shrewd Israeli Prime Minister who vowed in an
interview on Fox barely 4-7 weeks ago that he was going to stay out of American
electoral politics should wittingly or unwittingly start "beating the drums of
war" with Iran less than two months before the election. Mr. Wallace's question
went something like this: Since you were a business partner with Mr. Romney,
don't you think you should endorse him? It is insensitive, in my view, for him
to publicly demand a deadline for going to "war" with Iran on the anniversary of
9/11. Moreover, does Mr. PM think that his private business interest with one of
the candidates is superior to the overall interest of the Israeli state? In
truth, it never ceases to amaze me how tycoons and politicos manipulate the
state for personal and group advantage (at the expense of ordinary compatriots)
in all political systems!
