'It may take a hundred years, even more, one way or the other the Igbo are going to get justice for the Igbo genocide. It is Igbo memory. It is the myth of its nationness.' "This is my warning to this mentality: Others will make sure they mobilise to fight you, even a million years from now, if you insist on forcing your own view down their throats. You refuse to challenge your leaders for letting their people die while they drew out a losing war, and you are claiming that you will get your pound of flesh from Nigeria." Assuming that it is clearly the case that the treatment metted against the Igbos amounts to genocide -what do you loose as a person or as a Nigerian that any form of justice is done to reverse this injustice? Would you not think that thinking otherwise affects what it means to be human? Will the fact that the Igbos in your imagination have not failed to interrogate their leaders reduce the worth and weight of such justice? Should one wrong justify the other wrong? I thought we are trying to be civilised modern Nigerians who should in line with the goal of modernity apply the idea of man as man as a paradigm in our thought. Perhaps a thorough study of John Rawl's book Theory of Justice will help provide a more informed thought on this subject. To starve defensless children many of whom were yet to have the option to vote in favour of Nigeria or Biafra to death by whoever is evil.Whoever tolerates or supports this evil cannot be a good man. Lawrence Ogbo Ugwuanyi,Ph.D Senior Lecturer of Philosophy University of Abuja Nigeria This is my warning to this mentality: Others will make sure they mobilise to fight you, even a million years from now, if you insist on forcing your own view down their throats. You refuse to challenge your leaders for letting their people die while they drew out a losing war, and you are claiming that you will get your pound of flesh from Nigeria. The other day, Chidi Opara was threatening Nigeria with violence unless this spurious genocide theory is accepted, and I told him the score. Do you want other Nigerians to also start an anti-Igbo campaign? Some people have not learnt their lesson. On account of this declaration from Nwakanma , I am going to make sure I reopen to the public on Facebook my warning to to Chidi on his threats of violence and persevere in my efforts to document Biafran war crimes and the behavior of pro-Biafra fanatics. --- On Wed, 10/24/12, OLUWATOYIN ADEPOJU <toyinvincentadepoju@gmail.com> wrote:
