The 2012 Topp's African-Centered Scholars of the
Decade Awards
Good Greetings:
It is an equally wonderful feeling to share with you some more good news: the 2012 Topp's African-centered Scholars of the Decade Awards. They were given out the the 30th Annual Conference of the Association of Third World Studies convened at Berry College in Rome, Georgia. The awards, given out to scholars who have built, nurtured and inspired communities of scholars to seriously investigate African issues, are named after the Egyptologist, Pan-Africanist and Mau Mau activist Mwalimu Baba Joseph "Topp's" Wallace. He is also the only Black person in the world with his own line of gourmet sauces under the label Topp's Gourmet Sauce.
This decade's ten recipients of the awards are
(1) Mwalimu Toyin Falola
(2) Mwalimu John Mukum Mbaku
(3) Mwalimu E. Ike Udogu
(4) Mwalimu George Klay Kieh
(5) Mwalimu Peyi Soyinka-Airewele

(7) Mwalimu Pita O. Agbese

Karim/.
