Once a while, I issue a set of reminders:
a) All messages are archived. Thus, bear this in mind that whatever you post is in the public domain.
b) The materials have become items for research, teaching, and public opinion. So extensive is the amount of data that it has become one of the most consulted sites on African affairs. What you say matters.
c) How you say it matters as well. Check your language and emotions. Do not press the button in anger.
d) I do not censor unless a message crosses the line by saying that which can become classified as hate literature, or when an insult to a person in a rejoinder sidelines the arguments.
e) Avoid one sentence rejoinder or trivial ones. I spend four hours a day moderating this site, and even to delete such a posting means time reading it.
Thank you.
