USA Africa Dialogue Series - Re: Femi Fani-Kayode on Achebe's thoughts...

Nigerians and the world should allow Prof. Achebe to share his experience during the Biafran War without judging his motives.  

I hope Prof. Achebe's Memoir would allow Nigerians (Igbos, Hausas and the Yorubas) to start the healing process. I bet millions of Nigerians are still dealing with PTSD from Biafran war without realizing it. 

The psychological effect of any war (Vietnam War, Biafran, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.) is devastating to an individual.  

No one should minimize an individual trauma either from war, child abuse, etc...

At this point, Nigerians (Igbos, Yorubas and the Hausas) should go online and purchase Prof. Achebe's Memoir and make the book a bestseller.  It's time to stop the raw aggression towards the book.
