USA Africa Dialogue Series - Romney Continues His Lead Over Obama

Romney continues his lead over Obama. Moreover, Romney also wins on issues of trust and enthusiastic voters. Seven more days for me to imbibe my Somali camel in Mwalimu Ayo Obe's great city of Lagos. My wonderful brother and best friend Mwalimu Ikhide is not invited, for posting polls that include those who are registered but do not vote!

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows Mitt Romney attracting support from 49% of voters nationwide, while President Obama earns the vote from 47%. One percent (1%) prefers some other candidate, and another two percent (2%) remain undecided. See daily tracking history.

Fifty-one percent (51%) of voters have a favorable opinion of Romney and 48% say the same of Obama.

By a 51% to 45% margin, voters trust Romney more than Obama on the economy.

Sixty-seven percent (67%) of voters are excited about the choice between the candidates. Twenty-nine percent (29%) see it as the choice between the lesser of two evils. Seventy-seven percent (77%) of Republicans are excited about the choice along with 75% of Democrats. Among those not affiliated with either major party, however, just 38% are excited.
