Crocodile platitudes
and political noises
all on the skin of sorrow
for those who have departed
on the way
to Iwale asa;
for those who have become
silent and subdued memories
of what could have been.
'We are shocked at the news...'
But shocker still that you stayed this long

Subject: USA Africa Dialogue Series - Justice Kayode Esho
The news just filtered out that this great man just passed from here to Iwale asa.
I remember Kayode Esho lamenting when Gani Fawehinmi passed that the tragedy of Nigeria is that we just sit complacent while greatness pass us by. Now, another great man has passed. Let's lament for Nigeria.
