Dear Gentle Reader, Greetings. www.lesausa-inc.org   The Presidents from left to right:  Jane-Frances Anchang Okebugwu, Evelyne Ndikum Anoma, Leonie Mpafe Samuto, Enaka Yembe.   Your Community Partnership With LESA USA is valued.   Accountability is the measure of our treasure. 2013 is another rendezvous with host: LESA Dynomites  in Atlanta, Georgia.   LESA USA is the leading Africa Diaspora all-female alumnae association in the United States for ex- students of Our Lady of Lourdes College, Mankon, Bamenda, Cameroon in the CEMAC Region, Africa.  Our results are 100% pass rate in standardized tests. Our alma mater is a Catholic institution turning 50 in January 2013: The Golden Jubilee.       On June 19, 2012 LESA USA issued a public announcement on the amount of funds it raised in 2012 from specific donors: $65,000. The announcement accurately reflects the itemized donor list  (attached) with minor adjustments.   These figures do not include ticket sales and revenues from galas because these funds are not considered donation and may be used as operating expenses. Donors who attended fundraising events paid for their tickets and the amount is not included as a donation. The list does not include outstanding pledges that remain unpaid. It is also not a list of those who paid for tickets to any event, sponsored any event, or paid for advertisements because these are not considered donations.   Some branches have "special jubilee gifts" to the school. The amount is not included in this report. In cases where members of LESA USA (LESANs) contributed as classes or dormitories (Rosary, Bernadette, Immaculata and Fatima) , the itemized contributions are included and attributed to the individuals. Only when the contributions were made on Friday June 15 at the AGM were the sums combined and reported as a group. The difference between what was donated through the 5KRun and at the AGM is accounted for.   Therefore, the list contains only donors whose donations have been  received,  in cash or check cleared, and the donation is  unrelated to any other event.   As with all restricted funds, they are earmarked to benefit Our Lady of Lourdes College or students in Lourdes unless modified to benefit another project and charitable cause. The accounting rules pertaining to the management of restricted funds will apply.   In accordance with the IRS law, the information is publicly accessible. It also satisfies the need to inspect the record. For a copy of LESA USA Forms 990, please send your request to the address indicated in the LESA USA's website included below.   Considering that most of the 2012 donors are "repeat donors" with no major corporation, and LESA USA's 13th AGM 2012 was held in a relatively less populous Charlotte, NC (Cameroon/African residents), outstanding is the word.
