Dear All,
I'm an academic and journalist. In addition to publishing www.thenewblackmagazine.com, I also write for the UK-based academic careers website www.jobs.ac.uk, as well as The Guardian. Please see - http://www.guardian.co.uk/profile/shola-adenekan
I'm currently working on a series of career articles targeting academics.
The first piece I'm doing is looking at references or letters of recommendation. I like to interview two senior academics or faculty as well as two new PhDs and early career academics.
I want to know their views on the importance of letters of recommendations; who should write them, what they should contain and how young academics should approach this important aspect of the job application process.
Please email me off-list at sholaadenekan@gmail.com . I'm willing to email questions and you can respond via email.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards,
Shola --
