NSA Mini Conference is three days away. Those members of USA Africa Dialogue group living in the United States, I hope you had a happy Thanksgiving. Those of you travelling from outside the country to attend African Studies Association meeting, I wish you safe trip to the U.S.
Attached is the flyer for the Nigerian Studies Association mini conference in case you cannot find the one I sent earlier. I hope you will attend what is promising to be an exciting and thought provoking mini conference, given the speakers and their topics. As you can see from the attached Flyer, Professor Molefi Asante , renowned for his Afro-Centric ideas will be speaking on “Toward An African Ideology that Combats the Theft of Africa” while Barrister Mrs. Theodora Oby Nwankwo, a member of the United Nations-CEDAW Committee (Representing Nigeria) will be speaking on “The unheard Voices of Women.” If you live in the area, please attend this conference. We need your support. If you teach in the area, we encourage you to bring your students for a stimulating academic discussion.
