you can read about rice's aggressive personality, how she is a smart woman, how she chose obama over clinton, over benghazi and talking points, and on and on, and not find one word over her actions at the u.n. blocking the group of experts' report on rwanda and then blocking the un security council from passing a resolution condemning the supporters of m23, i.e., kagame.
why is that???
because africans still don't count in this media, because the incredible suffering in east congo caused by the continuation of militias, and especially now the rwandan based militias (remember rcd goma back in the late 90s?, same thing; remember the cndp? same thing) have continued to make life fragile, and death and mayhem commonplace. and in the meanwhile literally billions of dollars of minerals continue to pass through rwanda, uganda, burundi and tanzania. mostly rwanda and uganda.
this is a scandal.

The administration's incoherent handling of information deserves scrutiny. But Rice, barring something we don't know, clearly has the qualifications for secretary of state.

 

And thoughtful Republicans might reconsider the image of white men ganging up on a highly qualified black woman as they ponder the reasons for their collapsing tent. The road to redemption ain't thataway."
