It would also be helpful to discuss ways men are abused by women, a subject hardly discussed.
These forms of abuse of men by women can be described as
1. Verbal
2. Attitudinal
3. Physical
Verbal abuse is direct or indirect forms of address meant to cause pain or to create an unjust advantage.
Attitudinal abuse is abuse created through behavior that is not necessarily verbalized or not centred on verbal expression but is meant to create pain or to win an unjust advantage.
Physical abuse emerges in in the physical inflicting of pain.
It is vital to give significant and consistent attention to abuse of men by women for two reasons.
1. The male/female dynamic has always been one in which each party enjoys a degree of power, even if this power is not always identical.
This power is misused by some members of each of these groups. Male centred power has been reinforced by male centred societies.
2. The development of female centred attitudes in the management of conflict between men and women in the West has created out of women an oppressor class, who are vested with obscene degree of power, power skewed in their favour, almost making meaningless the ideal of equal relationship in cohabiting between men and women.
2. The development of female centred attitudes in the management of conflict between men and women in the West has created out of women an oppressor class, who are vested with obscene degree of power, power skewed in their favour, almost making meaningless the ideal of equal relationship in cohabiting between men and women.
This tide has to be rolled back in the name of genuine equality between the sexes if the marriage culture and the dignity of men is to be salvaged.
Examples of such oppressive empowerment of women such as the tendency to fleece, possibly bankrupt and render a man homeless and deprive him of his children because of a divorce has to be rolled back.
Men also need to be given equal say in the question of abortions. Its your body but the life in that body was not created purely by you.
It must no longer be that all a woman needs to do to get a man out of the home is to declare to the law that she can't live with him again and get the law to evict him.
These are standard examples of anti-male oppression that have become part of Western culture in the name of women's rights.
They have created a culture of anti-male oppression that must stop in the name of justice, human dignity and the future of male/female relationships as a central foundation of society.
